As I write this I am wondering why things are the way they are. This blog for some very odd reason over the past few days has been somewhere I can throw things up. I never really had a ‘thing’ for writing a journal, never the mind posting it on the Internet for the whole world to see, mind you there is me and well me that reads this blog.
Much like any other blog on the WWW it can be a place where you can post your inner thoughts or just throw up porn in some cases. Looking at how all this started blogging is still quite a young thing (1997).
I personally like reading people blogs in my spare time, if gives me an insight about peoples daily rants and doings. I have been known to be anti-celeb magazines like OK! etc. I personally don’t really want to know how long a certain celebrity was in labour for or how much it cost for botox injections. I don’t find it in the slightest bit of interest. Where woman do, they like to compare and read about the latest scandal in the papers. People like these nuggets of information about the rich and famous.
I on the other hand actually don’t want to spend, £4.50 or whatever on a glossy magazine trying to show me pictures of celebs babies and how they called them something stupid like Manhattan or window. I mean what next do they just go though the dummies guide to naming your new celebrity baby? This is how a convo might go:
Celebrity 1: Oh look I love this name in this book.
Celebrity 2: What name is it, dear?
Celebrity 1: And! I love it lets call our potentially mentally screwed up child, And.
Celebrity 2: I don’t think that is a-
Celebrity 1: Fine screw you then the marriage is over I am leaving, I am taking And with me!
Celebrity 2: And!
Celebrity 1: And what! Is that all you have to say? AND!!
Take some advice from a low life and someone who does not understand celebritys and don’t buy anymore magazines with Brittney or whoever on the front and just use Google. Its free and the blogs you find are probably more insightful, true to real life, funny and quite moving.

Let’s face it. The US election was big. A black president. I am very proud that they have a black president. Now this post is not going to rant. Infact it will he the exact opposite. The next statement that I write is going to be ground breaking that I have to put it on a paragraph on it’s own.
British Politics sucks.
Now I recall the adverts just before a general election a few years ago. About that if you don’t do politics then you don’t do much. Now I do, do politics and my feelings are very strong about how our country is run. Seriously some states had 100% turn out in the US. Why can’t we have that here.
I never voted for SNP (the current party in power in Scotland) but I wish I had as I don’t want to be seperated from the UK, but everyday I hear the news and it is just more and more depressing.
Splitting off from England may cause more problems than solve but SNP are doing good for Scotland and I like Alex Salmond he is a badass and takes no shit.
Well this post did not turn out to be what I had planned but what the hell. If anyone reads my blog then someone will at least understand my frustration. I hope.

Us Scots are very strange people, and I am very proud to be Scottish. I was on Clyde 1’s website today and I found this and I quote from their website:

Well another busy day over. If you follow my twitter I was off to IBM Greenock today to see the launch of their new Co-Location data centre. Although the datacentre is not finished it was still quite cool to see the beginnings of it.
It does make me think why I do have a degree. Although I do enjoy my job every so often I would still move to a technical job if one came my way. The thought of being able to work with the kit that my company sells would be quite cool. Even though saying that my background is Cisco, but on deep consideration, I feel as if I am one of typical students that graduate and move to a job that has nothing to do with the degree that they actually spent a lot of money getting and working hard to get.
Anyway to avoid this post becoming a mindless rant. I should just shut up and do something about it.
I also updated my ‘About Me’ page on the site and added a quick profile page just detailing a bit about me without boring you to death. Mind you I found it quite exciting to read about myself and what I had achieved. Sad I know but hey what can I say. My honours degree is still my biggest achievment iin my life to date.

Well my weekend was rather lazy but once it was quite, exciting. Saying as I passed my driving test a month ago, I was out and about with the girlfriend and we drove. And kept on driving!
Saying as Kilmarnock was getting closer and the country roads turned out to be dark and quite scary, for a new driver, I would say that I handled myself rather well.
Currently it is Monday and I am just getting my forecast ready for scrutiny by the managing director, it is cold, and I am just starting to realise that I am moving house in 24 days! If you have seen the state of my room you would be panicking the same as me!

Being Halloween and all, I thought I would start off with an evil laugh etc. but I decided against it. So I have been in hiding and working in the dark to create my master plan.
Well I hear everyone say. What the hell is it already? Let me set the scene.
I have an iPhone and I am always on the go, and I am always updating the world via social networking like twitter and my blog etc. so all this stuff gets scattered about the place with each individual site holding all the data that I have placed there. So I started looking to put all in one place. At first I thought that this blog might do, but after some research it turned out that it would just over complicate things.
I set out to find a totally different site that links and gathers all the content that I publish on a daily basis. so enter…tumblr.
Never heard of it? Well it is not a new concept. Us humans are information rich we have data and information everywhere on the WWW, paper, books etc. tumblr just organises all the social media that you place on the Internet. So I wandered off to to some looking into tumblr and some of the alternatives. Yahoo Pipes was a major contender but tumblr was simple and something that was easy to set up and manage.
So I have been working on it for a few weeks at getting all my social media on the Internet linked into it and search-able.
So let me introduce egwob. This is the hub off all information that I publish, from twitter to blog posts to flickr and just about any other social networking site that I forgot I had. The search facility called Lijit allows cataloging and searching for all networking sites that I have an account with, I even forgot some that I signed up for ages ago.
